from magnum this wine shows a fair amount of bricking at the rim with moderate depth of color... on the nose the wine has a lot of tertiary development yet still has a firm core of kirsch cherry fruit... on the palate the wine has high acidity, a fleshy and full midpalate, and resolved tannins, low etoh. Wine had good balance, very good length and complexity, great intensity. Wine has plenty of finesse, a comfortable texture with all of its firm elements well integrated, and very good expression of place. Not the best vintage for Gaja, but very fine indeed. This mag was at its peak so suspect 750s are moving past their prime.
