A marginal vintage Latour proving that phenomenal winemakers can still produce some magic when the odds are stacked against them. Not classic by any means but still vibrant and sweet with ample tannin to hold it together. Oddly, no cigar or pencil lead. If it had been served blind I would have guessed mid 90s Pomerol. '67 was an unripe year so maybe the blend got more Merlot than usual? Best from about 20-40 min after opening. Still red to the rim, no orange at all. Very good stuff.
