Nose: Plum, Wild Berry, Leather, Library Books and Spice. Palate: Very nice density for its age with an elegant approach. Very silky and well resolved palate that offered fading fruit of black cherry and plum with nice but muted secondary notes of leather, tobacco and some sweet herbs. Finish: Lingered for a fleeting moment then faded quickly on the finish. This was a mid-shoulder bottle, but the cork came out pretty well and there was minimal evidence of seepage. Glad I took the risk on this one because the wine showed very well. A surprise, and a great opportunity to explore a relatively unheralded vintage of the 60's.
