mature bordeaux. tough vintage so expectations wasn't high. nose was aromatic with earth, smoke, coffee. silky on the palate. straight laced and simple- some dark fruit fading followed by tobacco, more black tea and bayleaf with more evolution. saline on the finish. quite balanced in a mature kind of way. on a slow decline but still enjoyable to those who like the mature style
