An excellent wine, but, if tasted blind, I would never have guessed a Palmer. It lacks the lightness of touch and floral subtlety so typical of the estate. That said, it is a first rate left bank wine, and one of the better ones from a year which belonged to the right bank. The nose is aromatic with the palate and finish well balanced, but displaying a tannic spine.
