Beautifully expressive and strikingly complex aromas of acacia, honeysuckle, white flower and intense minerality trimmed in a bit of wood toast lead to stunningly pure, delineated and focused flavors of unbelievable length. This is refined, graceful and superbly elegant all wrapped in perfect balance and there is an almost Zen-like harmony here of understatement yet great flavor authority. There is the very subtle extra dimension of sheer class that drives this to another level. I particularly like the energy here and unlike a number of 2001s that are displaying ample development, this is still backward. Tasted several times with consistent notes.
