A restrained and gorgeously complex nose of pure citrus, wet stone and floral aromas is very much in keeping with the stony and chiseled medium weight flavors that possess borderline painful intensity on the ultra-dry, driving and hugely long finish. The complexity is presently only average for a fine Chevalier but the underlying material appears to be present such that with 7 to 10 years of cellar time this could very well achieve the top end of my predicted range.
