This has turned out rather better than I originally foresaw and in contrast to many '03s, I was struck by how clear and lightly colored it was relative to the deep yellow that characterizes so many whites from this vintage. While the nose is clearly ripe it remains spicy and reasonably fresh plus there is discernable if discreet minerality on the very rich, round and succulent flavors as well as the mouth coating finish. To be sure, '03 is by no means a particularly elegant vintage for whites in general and this is no exception yet there is excellent depth and length. As to maturity, for my taste this is all but ready and I would give it another 1 to 3 years and then drink up over the next 10 years. In sum, this is a really lovely '03.
