A spicy and quite floral nose displays some secondary development on the beautifully layered dark berry, cassis, earth and wet stone-tinged aromas. There is a decidedly opulent feel to the round and seductively textured large-scaled flavors that evidence touches of wood and warmth on the otherwise gorgeously persistent finish. While not a great vintage for this wine, it certainly is more than respectable within the context of the vintage. For my taste this has arrived at its peak though I underscore that there is absolutely no rush to drink up.
