Great bouquet but with a surprising degree of brett. Bright, round, and overripe red cherry with good earth-driven aromas as well. Supremely dense and generous on the palate with a concentrated cherry core. Rich. Cool fruit but also opulent. Tannins still very present. Both more nuanced and approachable than the '95 Rugiens Bas enjoyed alongside, at least to this Burgundy fan, but far less technically correct and enjoyable to the actual pro at dinner. Still pretty cool, '91 Leroy after all, even if some random village vineyard from Pommard...
