A more reserved but every-bit-as-spicy nose grudgingly reveals its array of clove, crushed anise, soy, poached plum, black cherry liqueur and discreet wood influence. The mouthfeel of the medium-bodied flavors is equally gorgeous and even more mineral-driven while concluding in a powerful and beautifully persistent finish that is slightly more refined. This is a big wine that is a bit less austere than usual though it's clearly expressly built-to-age so if you're lucky enough to find a few bottles, they're also going to need extended keeping.
