Raphael served this 2009 Meursault les Rougeot blind following my tasting through his 2012s. It has a gorgeous waxy, honeysuckle bouquet with apricot blossom and fig jam aromas. It is exotic compared to the Coche-Dury style, but you won't complain. The palate is very intense with great concentration, superb acidity and layers of walnut-tinged citrus fruit that fan out wonderfully on the finish. It is a fabulous wine, one of the finest Meursault Rougeot that I have tasted from the domaine. (NM)

This is also notably ripe with white peach, apricot and a hint of mango combining with notes of soft wood toast, anise and hazelnut. There is impressive complexity and concentration to the dense and seductively textured flavors that brim with mouth coating dry extract, all wrapped in an attractively dry, precise and balanced finish. There is so much mid-palate concentration that this will be approachable, and enjoyable, young but age well too. In sum, this is a first-rate villages that easily achieves 1er quality.
