A highly perfumed nose of pure essence of red pinot fruit along with a panoply of spice elements leads to solidly powerful and well-detailed flavors that are built on a base of almost pungent minerality. There is excellent length and plenty of supporting material and it seems reasonably clear that this is the best in show chez Rouget in 2011.
