An elegant, airy and beautifully perfumed nose of ripe red pinot fruit is liberally laced by notes of sandalwood, anise, clove, exotic tea and plenty of floral influence. There is excellent punch to the beautifully detailed and intensely mineral-driven middleweight flavors, all wrapped in a youthfully austere, complex and beautifully persistent finale. I very much like the balance and this should be capable of repay extended keeping while also drinking well on the younger side. In a word, excellent.
