Deep ruby with garnet. Medium+ intensity aromas, still developing with a decent amount of primary hanging on. First whiff, lots of truffle and earth. A mix of red/dark cherry and plum, but stewed fruit. Dried herbal notes with tobacco and leather. Cedar notes as well. Medium+ acid, medium bodied, high alcohol and fully integrated medium+ tannins. The flavour intensity is borderline medium+/high. The finish is long, with the acidity still running the show, giving the wine energy and length. It’s still fresh, with nothing out of balance, just very….seamless.
