This is also unusually elegant with a very ripe nose of liqueur of cassis, compote of plum, spice hints and floral aromas that are in keeping with the earthy and moderately sauvage middle weight flavors that despite the copious amount of mid-palate sap manage to keep everything in focus, all wrapped in a detailed, intense and explosive finish. This is quite showy though it doesn't quite have the overall depth of the Bonnes Mares.
