This Spätlese from the legendary Scharzhofberg shows a more opulent nose with more ripe aromas like vanilla crescent, ripe apples, a hint of honey and some spices. Complex and multilayered. Much broader (slightly Auslese style) than the Schaefer but also with much more tension, power and focus. Mineral driven, salt and citrus aromas on the back end. With every sip the wine gets longer and longer. Everything is super well balanced. A strong showing and just beautiful to drink right now, although this boy has a lot of potential left. Müller always has a certain "lightness", which makes me think "this wine is still so young".
