A relatively high-toned nose is composed by notes of red berry liqueur, pomegranate, pungent earth, dried flowers and subtle spice hints. There is excellent intensity and controlled power to the big-bodied yet sleek and seductively textured medium weight plus flavors that possess a caressing mouth feel, all wrapped in a lingering finish that offers very fine complexity. This is really quite good in the context of the vintage and is still very much on the way up.
