Gaja Barbaresco 1982. Very fresh and young! On the nose, mint, menthol, vanilla, some banana, some herbaceous grass and tarragon, licorice, savoury spice. On the palate, bright sour cherries giving way to menthol and mint on the mid palate, with great mouthfeel, slight licorice at the end with a long finish. Vanilla sweetness, licorice, and some savoury elements, with dried fruit at the end with a long finish, and some sweetness. Great structure and a long mid palate, with a long finish.
