A gorgeously elegant, pure and overtly spicy nose features notes of violet, lilac, exotic tea and sandalwood on the red and dark currant, plum and soft cassis nuances. There is outstanding delineation to the intensely mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that possess an ultra-refined mouth feel even though the supporting tannic spine is quite firm on the strikingly long and impeccably well-balanced finish. Like the Bonnes Mares this is borderline opulent yet it is class in a glass and should drink well after only 8 years or so of bottle age while being capable of rewarding 12 to 15.
