Plum and eucalyptus on the nose. On the palate, plum, black cherry, currant, and notes of eucalyptus, cinnamon, and bitter tobacco. This showed strong tannins when first opened, but they faded within the hour. The acidity is still well balanced, and there are no noticeable tertiary notes. This is at or a little past its peak. This has more than tripled in price since it was released, and I wouldn't pay current prices, but it's one of the best wines I have had in the past year or more.
