The 2015 Grands Echézeaux Grand Cru offers up a reticent nose of red fruit and licorice. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with delicate—borderline fleeting—fruit and fine-grained but firm tannins. If this gains depth and dimension as it ages it could confound my modest score, but for now my preference is for the Echezeaux.
