Somewhat surprisingly there is already a touch of bricking on the color. There is good freshness to the spicy red berry fruit and spice-suffused nose that evidences a curious note of geranium though no "green meanies". There is excellent vibrancy and punch to the beautifully well-detailed and intense middle weight flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality onto the lingering and reasonably well-balanced finale. This is by no means a great Drouhin Musigny but it's a quality effort in the context of the vintage. Note that while this should continue to improve over the next few years it wouldn't be infanticide to entertain opening a bottle soon.
