Classic old fashioned claret characters of pencils, cedar and leather. There was plum fruit, leather and a hint of menthol. Savoury, linear and dry, there were ruffled tannins which developed into a supple silky texture developing prunes on the finish. Almost ethereal, with a beautiful structure and a pleasure to behold.
