I've had this a number of times over the years and while it's always been excellent, I sense, like many if not all 2005 whites today, a certain fragility beginning to appear. A hint of wood and a phenolic influences serve as a backdrop for the notably, and now fully secondary aromas of ripe peach, pear, hazelnut and spice notes. There is outstanding richness to the powerful and concentrated flavors that are blessed with ample amounts of dry extract along with fine length on the ever-so-slightly warm finale. This is still drinking well, especially for a villages level wine at 20 years of age but for my taste, it's time to drink up over the next few years.
