Let me start by saying that I love older wine. Older wine has nuanced flavors really unavailable in any other food source. Some though unique may not be desirable but some can very well be. This was opened for 2-3 hours prior to tasting. At first aroma's wafting from the glass were iron, aged cedar and musk. In mouth the wine is very muted with sour if not rotted strawberry flavors. The finish held for about 3 seconds and then gave way to an acidic lingering mouthfeel which reveals an out of balance Ch. Lafite. Not one of the years to age. Nevertheless unique and drinkable.
