Not especially complex at first, but this really develops and transforms with air. A couple of hours after double-decanting, the aroma is a wow experience alone with layers of green forestal and herbal notes, tree bark, savoury earthy and faintly leathery elements, and brighter floral accents that become more prominent with more time. Absolutely amazing wine to sit and smell, but the palate is also pretty amazing with fresh red and dark berried fruit amidst the savoury and herbal flavours, and a very polished, elegant mouthfeel. Stunning wine, and by some distance my favourite of the evening.
