A fully mature and supremely elegant nose features notes of white flower, spice, citrus confit and the barest hint of wood. The naturally sweet, pungently mineral and rich yet precise middle weight flavors offer excellent focus on the stunningly long finish. This is in the middle of its peak drinkability though it should continue to age gracefully for at least another decade. Note that I have experienced some premox with this wine though when it's "on", it's gorgeous. Another recent bottle seemed tired though it could well have been the storage. In sum, this can be an excellent wine but it's impossible to predict how it will show.
