Beautiful dense and promising St.-Julien bouquet with strawberry, wood, tar, pencil shavings. On the palate the rudiments of elegance are there, pleasant intensity, but in the end too acidity dominated and rather one-dimensional. Some interesting fruit notes in the reasonably long finish but altogether a rather austere experience. Did not improve after several hours in the decanter.
