Deep colour and a very distinct nose, a combination of hot brick and slightly toasted oak, a bit overbearing on the nose but no lack of character. Palate still has good depth of fruit and plenty of fresh acidity to keep palate fresh, tannins are still powerful, not sure if weight of fruit will keep pace with this amount of tannin. Big character and lots of flavour but not yet charming.
