Excellent showing. Very rich and structured. VA, super ripe blackberry, considerable French Oak, dense fruit, highish alcohol, thick (yet balanced) chocolatey and oaky finish. Multi-layered and intense. Very Napa in a new-wave/high alcohol/extracted/cult manner. Whilst this is a "worked" wine, in this case, this bottle was a great showing and certainly delivered the goods. Drinks well but could possibly go further -it is not a subtle wine, even though it has mature elements, the texture and balance are seriously intense and possibly not going to resolve into a harmonious wine. Best to enjoy for its flamboyant nature.
