This has matured into a pretty if not exceptional vintage for this stored wine with its ever-so-slightly herbaceous-inflected aromas of orange peel, spice, secondary fruit and earth. The medium weight flavors are remarkably supple yet offer good density and richness with finishing tannins that are now largely if not completely resolved on the otherwise delicious, complex and reasonably well-balanced finish. The '95 VV is a wine that I have had many times and it finally seems to have come into its own because while the harmony is not perfect, overall this is still a fine effort for the vintage. I should further note that for my taste this is drinking as well now as it's going to
