Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, the 2014 Latricières Chambertin Grand Cru has an earthy bouquet with some signs of whole bunch, très Latricières. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin and a fine line of acidity, quite masculine in style with a well-defined, black pepper-tinged finish. There is good potential here although not quite in the same class as Trapet's Chapelle-Chambertin this year.
