Healthy ruby with hint of bricking. A touch of secondary development is present on the restrained but wonderfully pure nose that grudgingly displays the hallmark spice, Asian style tea and floral nuances. There is excellent richness to the opulent and relatively supple mid-palate of the medium-bodied flavors that contrasts with the still firm, sneaky long and mildly austere finale where a hint of warmth slowly becomes apparent. This is still firm though not chewy, and an hour of air was quite beneficial. The '06 RC isn't quite at its peak but another 6 to 8 years should suffice. Quite classy and complete.
