Pale crimson hue. A fresh, sharp almost citrus nose with notes of cherry and sea-salt. Lovely balance on the palate with crisp acidity. Wild strawberry and cherry. Very focused, very lively. Quite spicy, perhaps with a touch of dryness on the finish. Lovely poise on this wine. Perhaps better than the 1999? (NM)

Spice, pepper and exuberant black fruit and floral aromas lead to pure, delicious, round and very intense middle weight flavors that offer really lovely finishing detail and fine persistence. This is a very pretty wine and every bit the equal of the excellent 1999.
