About 1,5 hour decant was not enough for this as it initially mostly shows dark, forbidding fruit and a blunt umami character. With some extra air the details emerge: charcuteries, light smoke, salt, mussels (!), olive brine and woody herbs, all draped in a muscular but elegant robe of ripe blackberries mixed with sloan. In the mouth it is for the first second almost shy but keeps building and adding power all the way to the very, very long, salty blackberry finish. Still a good tannic bite as well. This has some way to go to proper maturity but is drinking well now with a good decant. Great wine!
