For an amateur (for a rum lover:) such a specimen, not as friendly, soft and fluffy as his sherry peers.
However, rum fans will definitely be extremely interested in getting to know such an instance!
Also, the age of this whisky is currently the same as mine, which is shocking! :0
Nose
Rum "details" - varnish, kumquat, very distant Sprite rum tones; old fermented wood, varnish, a huge amount of tender, ripe tropical fruits, balsamic, gutta-percha, tobacco.
There is also malt, if you listen to the aroma from the bottle.
Saturation: 10/10
Taste
Cold alcohols, not as friendly as expected from such a venerable age - even here one can feel some kind of sharpness and reactivity of alcohols. So, pineapple, polish, kumquat, cask esters of sugar cane, vanilla, furniture varnish, chemical dryness and enveloping astringency.
Saturation: 10/10
Sweetness: 5/10
Finish
Dry, kumquat, a lot of barrel, bittersweet tones in the end, and then a total dry plank
