Tonight was a special occasion so we pulled this out of the cellar since it was one of our parties birth year wines. In the glass it has some very mild bricking. Serious barnyard funk on the nose, earthy and mushroom. Flavours are fun, a little dark fruit but very subtle, tabacco and leather with a graphite finish. Tannins are surprisingly still present, mildly dry. Fun experience. If properly stored I suspect this can keep going for a bit longer, the acidity has faded but the tannins could keep going for a while. Lead capsule, natural cork, cork was soaked 2/3rds of the way through but intact and pulled fine.
