Colour: straw, which is strange. Nose: punchy and grassy. Vegetables, French beans, roasted peanuts. Quite feinty… Some fern and some pepper as well. A strange old Springbank… Mouth: better than the nose. Tropical fruit, tannins, fructose. Not unpleasant but not what we’d expect from a 34 yo Springbank.
