Maybe a little too much sherry, but this is still very good whisky and it was a pleasure to taste it. Nose Warming and full of sherry at first nosing. This is the typical sherry casked whisky aroma with notes of chocolate, raisins and prunes. Some burnt marble cake as well. Very well made, all nice and pleasant. Taste Powerful, rich and - no surprise - dominated by heavy sherry aromas at first mouthfeel. Sweet, tons of sherry but also a touch of aceto balsamico. The prunes are still there and I am getting notes of dark toffee as well. Finish Very long, becomes more alcoholic reminding schnapps pralines. Further the sherry dominates more and more until it tastes like concentrated sherry extract.
