Debated with a friend about whether it was too soon to open this. It wasn’t infanticide but this wine will certainly develop much more and get much much better. Very spicy, black pepper, a mix of red and black fruits and lots of herbs, slight leather notes. Took about 90 minutes to get anything on the nose, but then was open for business. Long finish. Still some sharp edges that should mellow out in a couple of years. Interesting now with more complexity to come. Still drinking well on day two.
