Ripe and reasonably fresh aromas are composed by notes of yellow orchard fruit, honeysuckle, oak and mandarin orange nuances. The medium-bodied flavors possess good size and weight but surprisingly little depth on the acceptably long but ever-so-slightly warm finish. Overall I found this to be somewhat disappointing and particularly so compared to what I originally tasted in barrel. In fairness, it's possible that this bottle did not show to standard but until I taste another one that confirms that possibility, this is hard to recommend. I should add that the '11 BBM is by no means a poor wine but it would be fair to say that the quality of this bottle was not at its usual level of excellence.
