A very enjoyable bottle and lived up to expectation. Bottle was in excellent condition for the age. Good fill, only 1/2 inch gap to cork. No sign of leakage, however, cork was wet within 1/4 inch of top but removed mostly intact. Allowed 15 minutes to breathe before pouring. Nose of dark cherry and very mild earthy tone. Dark berries on the palate, very smooth, with excellent fruit and tannin balance. Played well with artichoke pasta dish and cheese plate.
