This has always been a very impressive wine and one that I have watched evolve since the wine's initial release. The spicy and intensely earthy nose is now highly perfumed, complex and completely secondary though there are no hints of sous-bois yet in evidence. There is excellent richness and power to the concentrated, ripe and utterly delicious big-bodied flavors that deliver superb complexity on the ever-so-slightly rustic yet superbly long finish. This is knockout level juice. Tasted many times with consistent notes, indeed I have never had a poor bottle. Note that for my taste this has finally arrived at its peak though only just and well-stored bottles should easily drink well for years to come.
