Like several of these grands crus this is aromatically shy to the point of being all but mute but aggressive swirling eventually liberates notes of ripe and fresh red currant, cherry, violet, lavender, earth and once again a hint of game. There is more evident minerality on the more intense and taut medium weight plus flavors that culminate in an explosively long finish. I really like the energy here as well as the intrinsic refinement of Griotte.
