Here too there is a subtle though perceptible dollop of wood surrounding the cool and airy aromas that make it immediately clear that this could be from nowhere else than Chablis with its notes of iodine, oyster shell, quinine and the sea breeze character that is so appealing. The sleek and almost painfully intense broad-shouldered flavors exude evident minerality on the superbly long and impeccably well-balanced finale. This is, simply put, gorgeous, and a wine that should age and improve effortlessly over the next 15 or so years.
