Heavy bricking though still with a dark ruby core. There is plenty of sous-bois, dried fruit and spice nuances to the ripe aromas that precede dense and powerful middle weight flavors that conclude in a still tannic and raspy finish that isn't exactly drying but neither is it as well-balanced as it could be. This is the first time I've seen the '90 VV in half bottle but other than being slightly more evolved, it's the same wine that I've encountered many times from 750 ml (see herein).
