As is often the case with this wine, it is exceptionally pretty but not overly dense. However in 2006, there is good complexity and refinement to both the elegant red berry fruit and spice aromas that slide gracefully into detailed, pure and lacy middle weight flavors that possess good if not truly distinguished depth and persistence. To my taste this pleasant and rich effort has just arrived on the front end of its peak drinkability. Tasted twice post-bottling with consistent results.
