The first hints of bricking are now in evidence The markedly ripe though still admirably fresh and dense blackberry fruit aromas now evidence noticeable secondary character (though only a trace of sous-bois) plus gorgeous spice nuances. There is also plenty of spice elements present on the focused, opulent and serious big-bodied flavors that possess superb finishing complexity and terrific persistence. There is still some tannic structure to resolve though this has excellent density of extract and impeccable balance that should permit this impressive effort to live for another 50 years.
