Clearly over the hill, but displaying interesting and nuanced aromas and flavors. Earthy and a bit of leather and mushrooms. No trace of tannins. Almost tased like it was not alcohol. Did not decant based on one review saying it wouldn’t not last, it did get better in the glass, but it was not up for a long evening! Memorable and clearly a high quality wine in a weak vintage at 43.
